This Japan-exclusive collaboration turns a McDonald’s value set into a three-part Evangelion display, with the Big Mac, fries and shake each transforming into an Eva-themed robot figure. The set includes Big Mac Unit-01, McFries Unit-02 and McShake Unit-00, packaged together as a limited 2025 release from the first McDonald’s Japan x Evangelion collaboration.
The appeal is in the novelty of the transformation concept: the burger, fries and drink keep their familiar fast-food shapes before opening into Evangelion-inspired forms. The Big Mac unit uses the burger body as the core display shape, the fries unit incorporates the red McDonald’s fries carton and removable “potato” weapon styling, while the shake unit uses the cup form as part of its robot silhouette. The boxed presentation gives it a strong collector feel, especially as a crossover piece that sits between anime merchandise, McDonald’s memorabilia and transforming figure design.
